About the course
This master’s program develops advanced understanding of the drivers of contemporary conflict and the practices used for conflict resolution, peacekeeping and peacebuilding. Taught by leading researchers, it explores themes such as Indigenous politics, gender, ethics, justice, development, security and environment. You’ll study with a diverse cohort and can pursue applied fieldwork, independent study or research projects in Australia or overseas in peace and conflict studies.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for roles that address conflict and peacebuilding in government, NGOs and international organisations. The program supports careers in conflict analysis, mediation and negotiation support, peacebuilding program design, humanitarian and development work, policy and governance, and related research. Pathways may include work in diplomacy, security and development agencies, community and advocacy organisations, and project roles focused on prevention and resolution of conflict in peace and conflict studies.
