About the course
This course prepares graduates for professional osteopathic practice, responding to growing demand for holistic, preventative care. You will build advanced understanding of osteopathic theory and develop rigorous clinical reasoning for complex primary care presentations. The degree includes substantial supervised clinical experience (about 610 hours) at the SCU Health Clinic and other settings, supporting eligibility for registration as an osteopathic practitioner in Australia.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue registration and employment as osteopaths in private practice, multidisciplinary health clinics and community health settings. Skills developed support assessment, diagnosis and hands-on management of musculoskeletal and related functional disorders, with experience gained through extensive supervised clinical practice. This Masters-level qualification supports a pathway into primary care osteopathic medicine practice.
