About the course
UniSQ’s Master of Learning and Teaching (Early Years) prepares graduates from non-education backgrounds to become qualified early childhood teachers. You’ll focus on teaching and supporting children from birth to eight years, building inclusive, safe learning environments and understanding how young children develop and learn. The degree includes substantial supervised professional experience (75 days) in preschool and primary contexts, delivered with flexible study options in Education & Teaching.

Career outcome
Graduates can work across early learning centres, kindergartens and early education and care services, and may be eligible to apply for registration to teach in primary school settings (foundation to Year 3). The program is recognised as an approved early childhood teacher qualification and supports pathways to teacher registration through relevant professional standards and accreditation.
