About the course

This double degree combines advanced landscape architecture design with professional urban planning to prepare students for multidisciplinary practice in the built environment. Students develop creativity and a strong social and environmental focus to improve cities and urban spaces, while understanding how design and planning interact across complex urban systems. The program delivers two professionally accredited graduate qualifications in a reduced timeframe, providing broader career flexibility and a competitive advantage.

What you might learn

The course aims to build skills to design contemporary, ecologically sound landscapes using current materials and technologies, supported by a grounding in landscape architecture history, theory and technology. It develops understanding of Australian and international planning policy affecting human settlements and strengthens students’ capacity to respond to global urban challenges such as climate change, inequality, and community health and safety. Students learn to integrate planning and design approaches to generate innovative and strategic solutions for cities and regions.
