About the course
This coursework Master of Information Technology focuses on advanced network and cybersecurity systems for enterprise environments. You’ll develop skills to design, secure, manage and evolve networked information systems, responding to growing cyber risk and industry skills shortages. The program draws on Flinders’ strengths in enterprise IT, information retrieval, analysis and visualisation, and links with active research in the College of Science and Engineering for Master coursework study in computing.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to contribute to enterprise information security procedures and networked infrastructure, combining theory with practical technical capability. The course supports development of programming and recognised networking skills, enabling adaptation to emerging technologies and threats. Career paths include network administrator, systems analyst, cybersecurity consultant, security auditor, programmer, researcher/developer, and networking and communications specialist in Master-level IT and cybersecurity roles.
