About the course
The Master of Forensic Science develops advanced forensic and analytical capability for students with a science background. You will apply chemical and biological techniques to forensic investigation and build scientific, objective approaches to evidence and interpretation. The degree combines coursework with a master’s research thesis and lets you focus on either forensic and analytical chemistry or forensic biology, aligned to your prior chemistry or biology studies.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for more senior technical roles across forensic biology and analytical chemistry settings. Potential roles include forensic chemist, forensic biologist, forensic toxicologist, analytical chemist, and forensic technical assistant. Employment may be found in government forensic and regulatory agencies, biomedical companies, federal and state police services, and defence organisations, supported by advanced coursework and a master’s thesis in forensic science.
