About the course
This major is designed for postgraduate geoscience study focused on exploration and mining geology. You’ll complete an eight-unit (or more) sequence within the Master of Geoscience, building expertise relevant to finding and evaluating mineral resources and supporting mining projects. Study is delivered on campus at Curtin Perth as part of a master’s-level geoscience pathway in the sciences. The programme deepens scientific methodology, data interpretation, and applied research skills for laboratory and field-based careers.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue geology roles supporting mineral exploration and mine development, including exploration geologist positions, mine or resource geology support, and technical roles in mining and consulting organisations.
