About the course
This Masters by Research develops advanced capability in environmental engineering through an independent, supervised research project aligned to industry and sustainability challenges. You will plan and conduct rigorous research, analyse complex environmental systems, and communicate findings in a substantial thesis. Study is on campus at RMIT with access to specialist expertise and facilities. This is a Master by research in environmental engineering. The programme strengthens advanced engineering design, systems analysis, and innovation management for complex industry projects.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue roles as environmental engineers, sustainability or water specialists, remediation and pollution-control consultants, or research engineers in government, utilities, engineering consultancies and industry. The research focus also provides a pathway to PhD study and R&D careers, building skills in project design, data analysis and technical communication.
