About the course
This Master of Education (Trauma-Aware Education) develops specialist capability to recognise and respond to the impacts of complex trauma on children and young people in learning settings. You’ll engage with evidence-informed approaches and practical strategies to better support wellbeing, participation and learning, and to help shape trauma-aware practice across schools and early childhood contexts. This is a coursework master’s qualification in education and teaching.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply trauma-aware principles to strengthen student support and contribute to safer, more inclusive learning environments. The course supports educators and professionals to lead or advise on trauma-informed approaches, behaviour and wellbeing initiatives, and whole-school or service-level responses. Roles may include classroom teacher, learning support or inclusion practitioner, wellbeing/behaviour specialist, guidance or pastoral roles, and education leaders. This is a coursework master’s qualification in education and teaching.
