About the course
QUT’s Master of Cyber Security builds advanced capabilities to protect information assets and respond to modern cyber threats. You’ll study networks and security, human factors, and cyber security frameworks and industry models, while learning from specialists in cryptography and information security. The course emphasises applied, industry-relevant learning through project or research experience in master-level cyber security. The programme deepens expertise in software architecture, data systems, and emerging technologies for advanced IT leadership.

Graduates are prepared to help organisations prevent, detect and respond to cyber incidents across government, finance, technology and other industries. Career pathways include cyber security specialist, information security analyst, security consultant, governance/risk/compliance practitioner, and penetration tester roles.
