About the course

This course is the sixth and final year of training required to practise as a registered psychologist in Australia, providing specialist preparation in clinical psychology. You’ll develop advanced capabilities in assessment, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment of complex psychological disorders across the lifespan. The program includes two supervised 50-day clinical placements and an independent research dissertation, building practice-ready competence for Master-level clinical psychology.

Career outcome

Graduates are prepared to work as clinical psychologists delivering assessment, case formulation and evidence-based interventions for mental health presentations in diverse settings. Employment may be found across clinical and mental health services, education and training contexts, and social assistance sectors, supporting individuals, families and groups. Completion of this Master-level clinical psychology degree supports eligibility to apply for psychologist registration in Australia.
