About the course
The Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology prepares you for professional practice as an exercise physiologist. You will learn to use exercise as a key management strategy for disease, dysfunction and injury, contributing to interdisciplinary health interventions across public and private settings. The course emphasises interprofessional practice and includes experience relevant to metropolitan, rural and remote contexts in clinical exercise physiology at master coursework level.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to work as exercise physiologists who prescribe and deliver exercise-based lifestyle and behaviour modification programs to help prevent and treat injury and disease. Employment settings include hospitals, community health units, workplaces, gyms, aged care, disability services, sporting organisations, private clinics, and return-to-work providers. The program is accredited by ESSA, supporting eligibility to apply for Accredited Exercise Physiologist recognition at master coursework level.
