About the course
UQ’s Master of Architecture develops advanced design, technical and professional capabilities for contemporary architectural practice. Building on undergraduate study, you’ll deepen your understanding of architecture’s cultural and social impact and refine skills in designing buildings and spaces focused on people and society. Course options explore issues such as housing and density, civic and public space, and commercial architecture, guided by practising architects and leading researchers.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared to progress toward professional practice in architecture and contribute to shaping the built environment. You’ll be equipped for roles in architectural studios and multidisciplinary design practices, working across residential, civic, public-space and commercial projects. The program supports development of design leadership and technical competence relevant to registration pathways and work with clients, consultants and communities. This is a Master coursework qualification in Architecture & Building.
