About the course
The Diploma of Construction Studies is a supported pathway into university study for people new to construction. You’ll build core academic skills (including academic English and tertiary maths) while being introduced to construction methods, materials and residential construction management. The program includes free foundational courses and can provide credit toward further undergraduate construction study at UniSQ. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.

To graduate from the Diploma of Construction Studies, you must successfully complete 8 units of study.
Career outcome
This diploma can be taken as a standalone qualification or used as a pathway into UniSQ’s Associate Degree of Construction. It may help you move into entry-level construction and built-environment roles such as site or construction operations support, assistant to a site supervisor, project administration/support roles, entry-level draftsperson/CAD assistant, assistant estimator or cost control assistant, or building surveying assistant. Preparing graduates for engineering technician, draftsperson, and technical service roles, or degree articulation.

ATAR 50.00 or equivalent.
