About the course

The Master of Advanced Social Work provides advanced skills for social work practice and social policy, addressing complex and growing challenges across the sector. It strengthens leadership capability and builds connections across community, health and human services settings to support improved outcomes for individuals and society. The course is designed for qualified social workers across career stages, including recent graduates and experienced practitioners seeking advancement or a change in professional focus.

What you might learn

This course prepares social workers for leadership and specialist roles in health, mental health and human services. Students develop capability in evidence-informed practice to respond effectively to problems affecting individuals, families, communities and organisations. The program deepens understanding of knowledge, policy and research relevant to practice, drawing on expertise from academics conducting research in areas such as health, mental health, child and family welfare, ageing, social policy, policy evaluation and leadership.

Qualified social workers. English language requirement: IELTS 7.0 with no band less than 7.0.
