About the course
This enabling program is a supported pathway into university study for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people aged 17+ who want to build academic confidence and skills before progressing to further study. You explore First Nations and Western ways of knowing while completing two units focused on learning at university and communicating perspectives. Delivery can be intensive or block-mode, with mentoring and connection activities. This is a Foundation Studies pathway in enabling education.
Career outcome
This program is designed as a stepping-stone to further study rather than a direct job-qualifying award. It helps you clarify interests across streams such as health, teaching, arts, STEM, engineering, and business and prepares you for the expectations of higher education through academic skills development and mentoring. Graduates typically progress into certificates, enabling units, diplomas or degrees aligned to their chosen stream. This is a Foundation Studies pathway supporting entry into multiple disciplines.
