About the course
This combined diploma and bachelor pathway builds foundational creative industries study skills and prepares you to transition confidently into QUT’s Bachelor of Communication. You’ll learn in a supportive environment with blended delivery and extra contact time, then progress with credit into the second year of the bachelor. Graduate with two qualifications across three years in the communication and media discipline. The programme develops media literacy, content creation, and professional communication skills for digital and corporate environments.
Career outcome
Completing the Diploma in Creative Industries and progressing to the Bachelor of Communication can lead to roles across media, journalism, digital advertising and public relations. Depending on the major you choose, you may work in communication teams, media organisations, agencies, government or corporate settings, building skills in content, campaigns and stakeholder communication at bachelor level in media and communication.
