About the course
The Diploma of Music develops practical musicianship and broad musical knowledge across styles such as western art music, jazz and contemporary music. You can build solo performance capability and undertake specialist training in vocal or instrumental performance, composition, or singer-songwriting with guidance from experienced music staff. The program can also provide a pathway to further study, including articulation into the second year of the Bachelor of Music. The programme trains digital design tools, visual production, and portfolio development for creative workplaces.
Career outcome
Graduates may pursue work as performing musicians or studio teachers, supported by strong foundations in performance and musicianship. The diploma can also support entry into music-related roles across arts administration, communication, and the wider creative industries, where skills in music practice, collaboration and production are valued.
