About the course
This Diploma of Nursing prepares you for work as an enrolled nurse, providing care across the health-care continuum and across all life stages under the supervision of a registered nurse. The program is designed to meet professional requirements for enrolled nurse practice in Australia, aligning with accreditation and approval expectations for registration. It is delivered as a blended program at CDU as a Diploma in Nursing. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply for registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (subject to meeting all requirements). Enrolled nurses may work in hospitals across clinical areas, community health services, residential aged care, general practice clinics, day surgery and point-of-care testing settings, and in rural and remote health services. This Diploma supports entry into enrolled nursing roles in diverse care environments. Preparing graduates for nursing assistant, care worker, and clinical support roles, or degree articulation.
