About the course
This Bachelor of Nursing prepares you for a career as a registered nurse through a blend of theory and hands-on clinical learning. You’ll develop clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice skills, and gain broad experience across acute, surgical, mental health, aged care and community settings. The course includes 800 hours of supervised placement in Victoria, with possible overseas opportunities. It is a 3-year undergraduate nursing degree. The programme develops clinical skills, patient care fundamentals, and health sciences knowledge for registered practice pathways.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue diverse nursing roles across hospitals, community and primary health services. Career options include registered nurse positions in acute care, emergency, peri-operative, oncology, paediatrics, mental health and aged care, as well as school nursing, occupational health, palliative care and remote area nursing. The degree also supports pathways into specialised areas and broader health roles such as health promotion or clinical audit. It is a Bachelor-level qualification in nursing.
