About the course
QUT’s Diploma in Health Science (Health Studies) is a pathway program designed to prepare students for entry to selected QUT undergraduate health degrees. You’ll build academic foundations and strengthen English and study skills while completing first-year level health content in a supportive, small-class environment. Successful completion can provide guaranteed progression and credit toward eligible bachelor programs, supporting a smooth transition into Health Sciences diploma-to-degree study.
Career outcome
This diploma is primarily a pathway to undergraduate study rather than a direct professional qualification. It supports progression into health-related bachelor degrees such as public health, behavioural science (psychology) and social work, where graduates may pursue roles in community and public health services, health promotion, policy and program support, research assistance, and allied health-related settings. Outcomes align with Diploma-level preparation for further Health Sciences study.
