About the course
This accredited degree prepares you for a career as an exercise physiologist, using exercise to improve health, fitness and wellbeing. You’ll develop skills in clinical exercise delivery, lifestyle intervention and wellness programs for people with chronic conditions, disabilities or injuries, as well as healthy populations. Study is mainly on campus with lectures and labs, with some units offered in a blended format. This is a Bachelor degree in sports rehabilitation and exercise science.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles supporting rehabilitation and health improvement through prescribed exercise across clinical and community settings. Career paths include work as an exercise physiologist (subject to relevant accreditation/requirements), delivering exercise-based programs for chronic disease management, injury recovery and wellness. Opportunities may exist in hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, private practices, community health services, disability and aged-care providers, and corporate health programs.
