About the course

This Diploma of Engineering Infrastructure (Specialisation) builds foundational knowledge for work in the management, design, construction and maintenance of rail track and associated infrastructure. You’ll learn track engineering concepts alongside relevant legislation and regulation, and develop skills to contribute to commissioning, monitoring and maintenance planning. The course is delivered online part-time and is offered in partnership with Engineering Education Australia and Transport for NSW.

Career outcome

Graduates may pursue roles supporting rail and track infrastructure projects across design, construction, commissioning, monitoring and maintenance functions. Opportunities can include track/infrastructure technician or paraprofessional roles, rail asset and maintenance planning support, project support and stakeholder liaison within rail operators, engineering consultancies and government agencies. This diploma provides a vocational pathway into rail infrastructure work within civil/transport engineering contexts.
