About the course
The Graduate Diploma of Teaching offers a flexible, self-paced pathway for graduates from other disciplines to move into teaching. You can specialise in Primary or Secondary Education, study online, and complete 45 days of supervised professional experience in schools. The course builds evidence-based practice and provides credit towards SCU’s Master of Teaching, supporting a transition to full teacher registration pathways. This is a Graduate Diploma in Education & Teaching.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for entry into the teaching profession pathway, with skills to work with children and young people in primary or secondary school contexts. The course supports supervised school-based practice and can help progress towards a NESA-approved Master of Teaching for broader registration eligibility.
