About the course
This graduate diploma develops competence in oral surgery techniques for general dental practice. You will study oral medicine and pathology, implants, and surgical management, and complete a research project in oral surgery. Designed for local and international dentists, the program strengthens clinical decision-making and hands-on skills in surgical dentistry through face-to-face learning across multiple campuses in the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Surgical Dentistry).
Career outcome
Graduates may broaden their scope in general dental practice by integrating advanced oral surgery assessment and minor surgical procedures, and applying knowledge of oral medicine, pathology and implants. The course supports progression toward roles involving clinical oral surgery in private practice, hospital or supervised training settings, and can provide a pathway to further specialist study. Outcomes align with postgraduate training in Dentistry at graduate diploma level.
