About the course
This AQF Level 5 diploma is designed for performers working or aspiring to work in musical theatre and cabaret productions. You’ll build practical performance capability through intensive classes and production-based projects, developing acting, singing and dancing skills and, importantly, learning how to integrate all three disciplines in performance. The course is delivered at ECU’s City Campus as a full-time option in Semester 1 for this Diploma in Performing Arts. The programme trains digital design tools, visual production, and portfolio development for creative workplaces.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue performance pathways in musical theatre and cabaret, supported by training that integrates acting, voice and movement skills developed through practical classes and production projects. Career directions may include ensemble or featured performer roles, audition-ready stage work, and participation in live productions and events, with skills also relevant to related performing and entertainment contexts.
