About the course
This Diploma introduces key ideas and real-world issues in criminology and justice, with options to tailor study to your interests. You complete eight courses covering topics such as crime prevention, youth and restorative justice, international justice and human rights, and criminal profiling and intelligence. Face-to-face teaching is supported by online resources and prior study may be credited. This is a Diploma in Sociology & Social Work. The programme introduces counselling basics, community support skills, and behavioural science fundamentals.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue entry-level opportunities across justice-related settings, using foundational knowledge of crime, policing, corrections and contemporary justice issues. Roles may be found supporting community safety and prevention initiatives, victim support and advocacy services, youth justice programs, or administrative and research support within government and non-government justice organisations.
