About the course
The Bachelor of Social Work is an entry-level, professionally accredited qualification preparing you to practise as a social worker. Grounded in social justice and human rights, it develops contemporary anti-oppressive, decolonised and trauma-informed practice. You’ll build core skills for working with individuals, families, groups and communities, supported by studies in Indigenous world views, sociology, politics, human development and research, with elective options and an embedded Honours pathway.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles across client-facing practice, service coordination and management, research, and strategy or policy development. Employment settings may include health and mental health services, child and family welfare, youth and homelessness services, domestic and family violence support, disability services, alcohol and other drugs programs, and community development and advocacy organisations. Career pathways align with professional practice as a Bachelor-level social worker.
