About the course
The Graduate Certificate in Urban Horticulture introduces the foundations of designing, creating, managing and advocating for urban green spaces. It is suited to both beginners and those with existing experience who want to upskill, with learning grounded in practical activities at the Burnley campus and sites across the city. The course also provides a pathway into the Master of Urban Horticulture, with the graduate certificate equivalent to the first semester of the masters.
What you might learn
Students develop core knowledge and practical capability in urban horticulture, including how to design and manage green spaces in urban contexts. The course aims to build applied skills through hands-on learning alongside researchers and through exposure to real sites and practices.
