About the course
The Diploma of Agricultural Studies builds foundational, science-based knowledge of modern agriculture and sustainable food systems. You’ll study core topics such as plant and livestock production, agricultural economics and farm systems, with options to tailor electives toward agribusiness or agricultural science. Designed for flexible study on campus and online, it can also provide a pathway into related bachelor degrees in agriculture at Charles Sturt University. The programme develops laboratory safety, sample handling, and basic analytical techniques for technical roles.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue entry-level roles supporting agricultural production and supply chains, with opportunities in rural and metropolitan settings. Typical work includes assisting with farm and livestock operations, crop and soil activities, and technical support roles in reselling/agricultural service businesses.
