About the course
This Certificate III qualification builds the skills and knowledge to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment in buildings and premises. It aligns with essential performance capabilities for an ‘Unrestricted Electrician’s licence’ and is commonly completed through an apprenticeship or approved TRA pathway. Training is delivered face-to-face with simulated workplace and industry practice components in electrical trades. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
Career outcome
Graduates may work in electrical installation and maintenance across residential, commercial and other building settings, supporting safe commissioning, testing and fault finding on electrical equipment and systems.
