About the course
This Certificate II qualification prepares you to assist with delivering sport and recreation activities while completing fundamental customer contact and basic maintenance duties. You’ll work under direct supervision on mainly routine tasks and build practical capability for roles across sport, aquatic and recreation organisations in commercial, community, not-for-profit and government settings. Training aligns with relevant legislation, standards and industry codes for entry-level work in sport and recreation.

Graduates may pursue entry-level support roles in sport, leisure and recreation settings, assisting teams that deliver activities and maintain facilities. Common job outcomes include customer service assistant, recreation assistant, grounds assistant, leisure assistant, retail assistant and facility assistant.
