About the course

The Screen Arts stream is a set of related units within Curtin’s Graduate Certificate in Arts, focused on developing advanced film and television capabilities. It emphasises analytical approaches alongside creative and practical production skills to help strengthen professional practice. On completion of the graduate certificate, students may be able to transfer into the Screen Arts Major within the Master of Arts, continuing postgraduate study in screen media. The programme delivers postgraduate depth in theory, applied practice, and professional standards for specialist career progression.

Career outcome

This stream supports career development in film and television by strengthening screen analysis and hands-on production skills. Graduates may pursue or progress roles across screen content development and production environments, including work on short-form and long-form projects, and within creative teams for screen storytelling.
