About the course
This qualification prepares experienced industry practitioners to move into the vocational education and training (VET) sector. You’ll build the skills to design, develop, deliver and assess vocational training, including creating training and assessment strategies and working with training packages. The course is delivered online and focuses on engaging learners and meeting relevant learning frameworks, legislation and standards for VET delivery. The programme develops classroom assistance skills, child development knowledge, and educational support practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles delivering and assessing training in the VET sector across TAFE and other registered training organisations (RTOs). Typical pathways include vocational education teacher, workplace trainer, trainer and assessor, tutor, enterprise trainer, and RTO trainer or assessor roles. This Certificate IV supports entry into vocational training delivery and assessment work within education and training settings. Preparing graduates for teacher aide, early childhood support, and education assistant roles, or degree articulation.
