About the course

This intermediate-level qualification prepares you for work in the community services sector across community, residential and health care settings. You’ll build practical skills to support people from diverse backgrounds, help plan and deliver group activities, and develop a pathway for further study. Training is delivered by industry-experienced teachers and can be completed in up to 14 months at TAFE Queensland. The programme introduces counselling basics, community support skills, and behavioural science fundamentals.
