About the course

This qualification builds technical and business skills to manage a small to medium residential building business. You’ll learn to plan construction work, apply structural principles, supervise on-site activities, and work to building codes, legal requirements and quality standards. The course also covers contract and small business financial management, and supports eligibility to apply for a Builder – Low Rise licence in building and construction. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
