About the course
This Certificate III in Individual Support prepares you for work in community, home or residential care settings, supporting people who need assistance due to ageing, disability or palliative care needs. You’ll develop person-centred support skills, communication and safe work practices while working under supervision as part of a multidisciplinary team and following individualised care plans. It is a Certificate III qualification in community services support work. The programme introduces counselling basics, community support skills, and behavioural science fundamentals.
Career outcome
Graduates may work across aged care, disability and community care services, providing day-to-day personal and social support in home, residential or community settings. Typical roles include Assistant in Nursing, Personal Care Attendant, Community Care Worker, Support Worker and Disability Support Worker.
