About the course
This entry-level Certificate III in Individual Support focuses on building practical skills to support people with disability in home, community and care settings. You’ll develop core capabilities for providing person-centred assistance and working effectively within disability services, including roles connected to the NDIS. The course is delivered in a hybrid format and can be studied across multiple TAFE Queensland locations. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.
Career outcome
Graduates may seek entry-level roles supporting people with disability in home and community care environments and within services aligned to the NDIS. Work may involve assisting clients with day-to-day living, providing individual support under supervision, and contributing to person-centred care in disability and community service organisations. Outcomes align with a Certificate III pathway into disability support and related care work. Preparing graduates for nursing assistant, care worker, and clinical support roles, or degree articulation.
