About the course
This apprenticeship qualification prepares you to work as a heavy commercial vehicle mechanical technician across trucks, buses and heavy equipment. You’ll build practical skills and core knowledge to diagnose faults, service and repair key vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, steering and suspension, electrical circuits, hydraulic and air braking systems and diesel fuel injection. The course also covers safety and roadworthy inspection processes for heavy vehicles at Certificate III level in mechanical technology.
