About the course
This entry-level dual qualification prepares you to work as a personal trainer. You’ll build practical skills to instruct personal training programs, deliver group sessions, and design exercise for older clients. Training also covers the core knowledge needed to operate a small personal training business, supporting a pathway into the fitness industry with a recognised Certificate III/IV outcome. The programme builds patient care fundamentals, clinical assistance skills, and health workplace practice.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles in gyms, fitness centres and community settings, supporting clients to improve fitness and health. Typical outcomes include personal trainer and fitness instructor delivering one-on-one and group training, including programs for older clients. Skills also support self-employment through running a small personal training business within the fitness industry at Certificate III/IV level. Preparing graduates for nursing assistant, care worker, and clinical support roles, or degree articulation.
