About the course
This entry-level Certificate III helps you start a career as an electrical fitter, building hands-on skills and knowledge for work in industry. You’ll develop capabilities across fitting, assembly, testing, fault-finding and repair of electrical equipment, plus electrical wiring work between machinery and plant components. Training is supported by experienced teachers and provides a pathway to employment or further study in electrical trades. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
Career outcome
Graduates are prepared for trade employment as an electrical fitter, supporting the manufacture, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and associated wiring on plant and machinery. The qualification can lead to roles in industrial and production environments where fault-finding and testing are required. This Certificate III also provides a foundation for further training to progress within the electrical trades and related engineering fields.
