About the course

This apprenticeship qualification prepares you to become a qualified automotive body builder working on the manufacture and repair of bus, truck and trailer bodies. You’ll build practical technical capability in replacing and repairing body panels and fittings, fitting out components, and fabricating parts using processes such as welding and fibreglassing. Training supports on-the-job learning and leads to recognition as a tradesperson in vehicle body manufacturing. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
