About the course
This qualification is designed for indentured apprentices employed as apprentice Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technicians. You will develop trade skills to install, service and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems, with training aligned to industry and licensing needs. This Certificate III supports apprenticeship-based progression in electrotechnology and refrigeration work. The programme focuses on applied engineering drawings, workshop skills, and technical maintenance competencies.
Career outcome
Graduates typically meet industry requirements to work toward qualification as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician. The course supports employment in residential, commercial and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration installation, servicing and maintenance. After completion, you may be eligible to apply for a restricted electrical licence within 12 months in line with relevant regulations. Preparing graduates for engineering technician, draftsperson, and technical service roles, or degree articulation.
