About the course
This Certificate IV develops foundational skills for emerging visual artists to build an artistic voice and apply a range of techniques across visual arts, craft and design contexts. You’ll learn broad technical and theoretical knowledge and how to analyse and use information from multiple sources while working with increasing autonomy. Delivery is available at Alice Springs and Casuarina, with face-to-face and blended options in 2026. The programme emphasises applied skills, workplace readiness, and technical competency for industry entry.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue entry-level creative practice roles across visual arts, craft and design settings. Typical outcomes include working as an artist or visual artist, arts practitioner or studio artist, with possible specialisation such as ceramic artist or jewellery designer. The qualification can also support progression into further training and pathways to other visual arts, craft and design job roles at Certificate IV level.
