About the course
The Graduate Certificate of Travel Medicine is designed for health professionals seeking specialist knowledge in travel health. You’ll develop skills to assess travel-related risks, investigate and help prevent travel-associated illness, and provide health education to travellers. Study is delivered in a flexible multi-modal format and supports practice in both domestic and international health contexts at graduate certificate level in medicine. The programme develops advanced clinical reasoning, health leadership, and evidence-based practice for complex care environments.
Career outcome
Graduates may work in travel medicine and traveller health services across clinics, hospitals, public health units and NGOs, advising individuals and organisations on travel risks, immunisation and prevention of travel-related disease. The course supports roles involving travel health consultation, risk appraisal and health promotion for travellers, strengthening professional practice in preventative and travel medicine at graduate certificate level. Entry requirements
AQF level 7 bachelor degree in a relevant Health discipline; or equivalent.
