About the course
This course equips health practitioners to use evidence-based lifestyle medicine to help prevent and manage chronic disease. You’ll build skills in prescribing lifestyle interventions and supporting behaviour change, with study covering determinants of health, clinical processes, models of care, and practical strategies for disease prevention and management. A capstone research project lets you investigate a lifestyle medicine topic in depth in a Masters-level health discipline.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply lifestyle medicine principles across clinical and community healthcare settings, supporting patients with chronic disease risk and long-term condition management. The degree strengthens capability in behaviour-change support and lifestyle intervention planning, useful for practitioners in general practice, allied health, nursing and related health disciplines. It also supports progression into health program delivery, wellness and prevention roles, and further study in Masters-level health practice.
