About the course

This graduate certificate develops strategic design capability to help you tackle complex, real-world challenges across business, government and community contexts. You’ll build leadership and stakeholder-management skills while applying design-led innovation to create sustainable and ethical products, services and systems. The course can be completed in as little as one semester full-time and provides a pathway to further study in strategic design at QUT. This is a Graduate Certificate in design.

Career outcome

Graduates can pursue roles where design strategy, collaboration and innovation are central, including strategic designer, service designer, design strategist, design/innovation consultant, or UX/service improvement roles. Skills are suited to projects in areas such as social services, health, advanced manufacturing and infrastructure, as well as corporate and government innovation teams.
