This graduate certificate develops strategic design capability to help you tackle complex, real-world challenges across business, government and community contexts. You’ll build leadership and stakeholder-management skills while applying design-led innovation to create sustainable and ethical products, services and systems. The course can be completed in as little as one semester full-time and provides a pathway to further study in strategic design at QUT. This is a Graduate Certificate in design.

Graduates can pursue roles where design strategy, collaboration and innovation are central, including strategic designer, service designer, design strategist, design/innovation consultant, or UX/service improvement roles. Skills are suited to projects in areas such as social services, health, advanced manufacturing and infrastructure, as well as corporate and government innovation teams. Outcomes support leadership in design-led change and responsible, sustainable practice. This is a Graduate Certificate in strategic design.
