About the course
This Graduate Certificate in Positive Behaviour Support builds advanced knowledge and practical skills to support people with disability who display challenging behaviours. You will learn evidence-based, person-centred approaches to assess behaviour, design and implement support plans, and contribute leadership within interdisciplinary teams. The course aligns with contemporary disability practice and the NDIS context, and includes applied learning to strengthen professional capability in Positive Behaviour Support at graduate certificate level.
Career outcome
Graduates can pursue roles delivering and leading specialist behaviour support for people with disability, families and services. The course supports recognition as a PBS practitioner and builds capability to translate theory into community-based implementation, problem solving and innovation. Potential pathways include behaviour support specialist/consultant, policy or community development officer, support coordinator, case manager, industry trainer/facilitator, advocate, or project leader in disability and community inclusion at graduate certificate level.
