About the course
This double degree major introduces the complementary fields of anthropology and sociology to build a deeper understanding of human behaviour in a globalised world. You’ll explore how culture, diversity, institutions and social groups shape everyday life amid global change, with a regional focus including Australia and Asia-Pacific. Study contemporary issues such as media, gender, education, health, work and crime within an undergraduate humanities and social sciences pathway.
Career outcome
Graduates can apply sociocultural analysis and research skills across public, private and community settings. Typical roles may include anthropologist, sociologist or heritage specialist, supporting evidence-based decisions about people, culture and social change. Opportunities span allied health and community services, urban and regional planning, heritage and cultural organisations, local government, and community engagement roles.
